Ministry Teams

We conduct much of our ministry through teams, under the assumption that God wants us to do things together as a body of Christ rather than individuals (see 1 Corinthians 12: 12-31). These are not just glorified committees, but acts of service done together among friends in Jesus’ name. Are you interested in serving alongside us?

Two things to know: 1) You do not have to be a church member to join a team. 2) We want you to find a team that best suits your giftedness, personality, and availability. This may mean creating a new team! Not sure what’s the best fit? Start with a spiritual gift assessment!

Fellowship Team

We exist to love and serve Heartland and its guests by providing tasty treats for Sunday morning fellowship and other occasions. We also do all the behind-the-scenes work of preparing and cleaning up.

Heartland Kids Team

The Heartland Kids Team exists to provide age‐appropriate worship and learning experiences for children ages 3‐5th grade on Sunday mornings during the sermon. We long for all the children who come through our doors to experience the welcome of Jesus and the presence of God. Please consider joining this vital ministry.

We exist to stoke the fire of passion for local and global mission at Heartland. We do this through creative communication, direct support of our missional partners, and planning local outreach events.

Tech Team

The Technical Services Team exists to provide high quality Audio and Video support for worship services and other events held at Heartland Community Church while also supporting the phone system, computers and network equipment.

Welcome Team

The Welcome Team exists to provide a hospitable environment for guests and members at all church gatherings and especially on Sunday morning. We hope to eventually welcome our guests as vital members of the body of Christ at Heartland Community Church.

Worship Team

We exist to lead the congregation in worship, music, and song. We pray for all ages to experience the presence of God every week, so that all are re-oriented toward the love God has for us and re-energized to love our neighbors.

We exist to build quality, long-lasting relationships among Middle and High School youth and to foster their growth in Christ through fun, fellowship, and service.
