Giving comes in many forms. We not only give of our treasure; we also give of our time and talents. At Heartland, we want to ensure that we make the most of these. That’s why we encourage everyone to take a Spiritual Gifts assessment and discuss the results with a pastor and/or small group.

Tithes & Offerings

We take up an offering every Sunday in order to further Jesus’ mission through our local church. If you are a guest, please feel no obligation to give - we want the service to be a gift to you.

An offering is any gift presented to God, regardless of the proportion. A ‘tithe’ is a type of offering that gives a tenth of something. Both are found in Scripture. We believe offering a tithe is a good rule of thumb for Christ followers. However, Jesus wants to free us from seeing it as a strict requirement. What God desires is a generous heart that prayerfully considers all financial decisions, including what to give for the sake of God’s mission.

As a local church, we feel called by God to tithe our annual income. By doing so, we join others to make God’s dream a reality for our local and global communities.

Financial Peace University

We believe God cares not only about how we give, but also how we spend our money. For this reason, Financial Peace University is periodically offered at Heartland. This is not just for those going through financial difficulties (though it's certainly good for this!). It's also for those wanting to be more intentional about giving, saving, planning, and spending in a way that furthers God's dreams for you, your family, and the world.

Sunday Giving

You can easily give cash or check during Sunday worship. Envelopes are available at the welcome center or just drop it in the basket when it is passed to you.

By Mail

Checks payable to Heartland Community Church may be sent by mail. Please do not mail cash.

Online via Bank Bill Pay

If your bank offers online banking and bill pay, you can set up a payment through your bank.

• Set up a payment payable to Heartland Community Church using our address: 3900 E 300 N, Lafayette, IN 47905
• Your bank will mail a check to us on your behalf.
• Be sure to include your name in the notes section when setting up your payment so that we can track your giving for annual statements.

Always check with your bank on the specifics of their services, but most will provide this service at no cost to you.

All online payments received will be deposited to the General Ministry Fund unless otherwise designated in the memo of the check.

Heartland Community Church is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and all contributions are tax-deductible. You will receive an annual giving statement from us at the end of each year for yearly giving amounts greater than $100.
