“Whoever welcomes one of these children in my name welcomes me.”
During worship the nursery is attended by one professional child care worker and one adult volunteer. Check-in begins at 9:15 a.m. As a registered child care during the week, we pride ourselves on a clean, safe, and fun environment. There is also a private space available for nursing mothers. You are free to go in and out of the worship center as needed to take care of your little ones.
Kids are released to our kids program after the singing portion of our worship service. Preschoolers are given the opportunity to experience God through games, a short bible story, and hands on learning geared towards them. Any kids three years old are welcome to join us.
Kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade come together in a setting that is fun, engaging, and age-appropriate. There they learn one "big Idea" about the Christian faith with supporting Bible stories. The goal is to help them develop a faith in Jesus that lasts a lifetime.
Our desire for the kids who come to Heartland is to experience God in a way that is fun, relevant, and easy for them to understand. We believe that family plays the most important role in the discipleship of children and we want Heartland to be a place that encourages families to learn and grow together.
Youth ages 11+
Youth ages 11+ remain in the worship center for the entire service. Worship and sermons are planned with this in mind. In an age of distraction, we make every effort to engage the attention and participation of everyone – including youth.
Sunday Discipleship Hour
After Sunday morning worship (10:30-10:45 a.m.), there is time for coffee, snacks, and conversation. At 11:00 a.m. we begin what we call "Discipleship Hour."
For more information about all the offerings, including those for children, visit our Sunday Discipleship page.
Classes meet after the fellowship hour. Room locations for each class can be found at our Welcome Center.
