“Whoever welcomes one of these children in my name welcomes me.”
During worship the nursery is attended by one professional child care worker and one adult volunteer. Check-in begins at 9:15 a.m. As a registered child care during the week, we pride ourselves on a clean, safe, and fun environment. There is also a private space available for nursing mothers. You are free to go in and out of the worship center as needed to take care of your little ones.
Children Under 10
At Heartland we want children not just to learn about God, but to experience God. That’s why we prepare a special worship environment for children every week. We want them to sense the awesome wonder of the God who loves them. Our trained Children and Worship teachers walk kids through the adventure of worship using “The Children and Worship Program”.
Youth ages 11+
Youth ages 11+ remain in the worship center for the entire service. Worship and sermons are planned with this in mind. In an age of distraction, we make every effort to engage the attention and participation of everyone – including youth.
Sunday Discipleship Hour
After Sunday morning worship (10:30-10:45 a.m.), there is time for coffee, snacks, and conversation. At 11:00 a.m. we begin what we call "Discipleship Hour."
For more information about all the offerings, including those for children, visit our Sunday Discipleship page.
Classes meet after the fellowship hour. Room locations for each class can be found at our Welcome Center.
Students in 6th-12th grade gather every Sunday night at 6:00 p.m. Our brave and experienced leaders Tim and Margie Ropp strike a balance between silly fun and crucial conversation around God’s Word. Visit our youth group page for more information.
